Nell Putnam-Farr

Nell Putnam-Farr brings finance expertise, strong knowledge of the media and entertainment industries and a passion for outdoor activities and charitable work. She joined Camelot Capital in early 2001 and currently covers new media, ecommerce and interactive entertainment as a research analyst. She is responsible for evaluating financial position and business prospects to determine investment potential for over twenty publicly traded companies in her coverage universe. In her capacity as analyst, she travels frequently to attend industry conferences and meet with management teams from the companies she covers.

Prior to Camelot, Nell worked as a strategy analyst at Concrete, Inc., helping clients develop business plans for using the internet to enhance their existing operations. She also interned during college for J.P. Morgan Investment Management and Salomon Smith Barney Equity Research.

Nell graduated with honors in Economics from Williams College. She completed her Williams curriculum requirements in three years, allowing her to pursue independent study for one year in Paris without falling behind her entering class. She obtained a diploma from the program for foreign students at L’Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po). Her political science and economics courses focused on the EU and gave her a head start on writing her Williams honors thesis regarding unemployment and the European Union.

Despite her busy work schedule, Nell enjoys sailing, skiing and tennis. She was captain of the Williams sailing team for two years and was a member of the Williams Volunteer Ski Patrol in addition to teaching skiing at Jiminy Peak. She continues to enjoy racing a Rhodes 19 with her mother during the summers. After her step-mother’s encounter with breast cancer, Nell has become active with the Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day, walking all 60 miles one year and crewing for the other walkers for two years. She also enjoys cooking (but not cleaning up) and is always trying to come up with new ways to make old favorites more healthy, yet quick enough to prepare after work!
